MUHORORO DISTRICT HOSPITAL DESCRIPTION

Muhororo hospital is old hospital, has started its activities since 1952; the hospital was built by the Belgium government in partnership with the government of Rwanda. It is the hospital of Ngororero administrative District located in Western province with a 125 beds capacity. It has both clinical and non-clinical 124 staffs and in 2020, Muhororo Hospital received a total number of patients of 20354 patients were outpatients and admissions were 4608 within the year of 2020. 1.1.2. Geographical location, population and H.C It is located in Gasave village, Kamasiga cell, Gatumba sector, Ngororero District, Western Province; it is located at 461/2 km from Muhanga to Ngororero across the road near Gatumba commercial center. The population Muhororo hospital catchment area is 195823 (NSIR 2014), but it serves also a big number of people mostly from near Districts like Muhanga, and other different areas of the whole country. Muhororo hospital supervises the following 9 health centers: Muhororo, Rubona, Ntobwe, Gashubi, Kageyo, Ntaganzwa, Rususa, Nyange A, and Nyange B health centers.
